Supportive Living for Mental Health Recovery & Independent Living
MHA Residential Care provides supportive living for those recovering from mental illness, helping them transition to independent living. Residents develop social, independent & daily living skills through individual & group interactions.
MHA Apartments provide independent living opportunities for people with mental illness. The spacious one or two bedroom units provide all the comforts of independent living with the added component of a close knit community. Electric, gas, water and trash are provided as part of the rental payment at MHA Apartments. Each apartment has a large living room, dining area, large bedroom, fully equipped kitchen and plenty of storage space. Laundry facilities and clubhouses are located on site.
MHA Group Homes are supportive living facilities licensed through the State of Kansas and accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities. MHA Group Homes provide a positive personal development experience for those individuals recovering from mental illness, to help each person live successfully in the community. Our staff initiates personalized plans with each resident addressing their needs. The resident’s need and willingness to participate in the program determine length of stay.
Operation Community Integration Program (OCI): This program provides intensive community integrative housing supports necessary to improve independent living skills and reduce symptoms that will interfere with a consumer’s ability to sustain safe and stable permanent community housing. This program helps the hardest to house individuals with Medicaid benefits.
MHA’s Residential Care understands that housing is a cornerstone to stability and good mental health. MHA offers a variety of services aimed to assist individuals and families facing homelessness so that they can find and maintain safe, affordable housing.
Services Include:
MHA Residential Care Inc. provides safe affordable one bedroom apartments for seniors. Eligible applicants are those who are 62 years of age and older and meet low income guidelines established by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Applicants must meet all tenant selection criteria.
Clara House is a short term housing program for 6 individuals with a severe persistent mental illness at risk for hospitalization. These individuals focus on learning independent living skills while they work to stabilize in the community and finding permanent housing.
