Employment Opportunities
The Mental Health Association of South Central Kansas is an Equal Opportunity Employer. There shall be no discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, veteran status, age, physical/mental disability, sex, sexual orientation or any other classification protected by applicable local, state or federal law with regard to hiring, assignment, promotion, or other conditions of employment for applicants or employees of the Association.
Conditions of Employment
For all positions, MHA conducts background checks with the Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI) and Social Rehabilitation Services (SRS). In addition, a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), for all positions where driving is required, must be completed. Failure of a background check or an unacceptable MVR may result in a job offer being rescinded, or in immediate termination.
All employees of the Association are required to maintain a valid Kansas' driver's license (if the position warrants), proof of continued liability insurance with such coverage limits as deemed appropriate by the Association and a motor vehicle record (MVR) clear of any serious motor vehicle infractions or frequent traffic violations.
Where positions require licensure, certification or registration, they will be verified at time of hire. Verification will be obtained by Human Resources by verbal, written or electronic confirmation with the primary source.
Where a position requires a degree from an accredited college or school, newly hired employees will provide copies of official transcripts from the primary source to be sent directly to Human Resources.
Completion of an application does not constitute an employment contract or an offer of employment. Employment with MHA is considered "at-will". Employees are subject to all of MHA Policies and Procedures.
